What is the La Liga Jersey Quiz?

The La Liga Jersey Quiz is a free daily football shirt game for fans of Spanish football. Each round hides a real La Liga home shirt behind a 4×4 grid. Reveal the image one square at a time, recognise the colours and design details, then name the club before your six guesses run out.

The game covers La Liga rosters from 2015–16 through 2025–26, with one home shirt for each club in each season. That makes the challenge broad enough to include familiar giants, historic clubs, promoted sides and difficult shirt designs that do not appear in every generic soccer jersey quiz.

Choose All seasons for the hardest version, where the year is part of the answer, or lock the game to one season when you want a focused club-and-kit study. The season roster changes with promotion and relegation, so a club is only an answer when it actually belonged to that season’s competition.

How to play the La Liga football jersey game

A new puzzle starts with all 16 squares hidden. The first reveals are chosen from low-information parts of the shirt, so the opening view gives you a colour and texture without immediately showing the crest or sponsor. Continue revealing squares when you need more evidence, but remember that every reveal makes the answer easier for everyone who plays that day.

Use the club selector to make a guess. You have six attempts. In All seasons mode, choose both the club and year; in a fixed-season mode, the year is already known and you only need to identify the club. Look for the collar, sleeve trim, manufacturer mark, sponsor placement, stripe width, sash direction and the exact shade of the home colour before committing.

  • Start with the silhouette and the main colours.
  • Compare stripes, halves, sashes and solid shirt layouts.
  • Save the crest, sponsor and central shirt details for the later reveals.
  • Share your result after the round without spoiling the shirt image.

Which La Liga clubs are included?

The club pool is tied to each season rather than treated as a permanent list. Across the current data range, the quiz can include clubs such as Deportivo Alavés, Athletic Club, Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, Real Betis, Celta Vigo, Elche CF, RCD Espanyol, Getafe CF, Girona FC, Levante UD, RCD Mallorca, CA Osasuna, Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Sevilla FC, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF, plus the promoted and relegated sides that complete earlier rosters.

Because La Liga has promotion and relegation, every season has its own 20-club membership. Real Oviedo may be in one roster while another season includes a different promoted side; that is why the same shirt can be identified correctly only when its season and club pool are kept together.

Real La Liga shirt references by season

All 220 records now use locally stored real shirt and product photos selected from a recorded source page for each club and season, so the game stays fast while every answer remains traceable.

Some clubs use a very simple base colour while others rely on a recognisable arrangement of stripes or a sash. The image is intentionally revealed as a grid, so sponsor text and badge details become powerful late-game clues instead of appearing in the first frame. In All seasons mode, the year itself becomes another clue: manufacturer changes, sponsor eras and older shirt silhouettes can narrow the answer.

La Liga Jersey Quiz FAQ

Is the game free? Yes. The La Liga shirt game is designed as a free fan quiz that can be played in a browser without an account or download.

How many guesses do I get? You get six guesses in each round. You can reveal up to all 16 squares before the game ends, but the best scores come from identifying the shirt with fewer reveals.

Which seasons are included? The current catalog runs from 2015–16 through 2025–26. Each season has its own club roster and one home shirt per club, while All seasons combines the full historical set.

Why can the same club appear more than once? A club may have a different home design each year, and its season roster can change around promotion and relegation. The quiz treats club plus season as the answer in All seasons mode.
